This week we’re taking a look at what Xerox has dreamt up with the help of Microsoft Tag. They have created a printer that is capable of so much more than just your everyday printing projects. Xerox realized that customers were not using their product to its full advantage and decided to do something about it.

This is where Tag comes in. Xerox created Tags to show off just how advanced their technology really is. Customers who scan the Tag are provided with information about Xerox technology and the true capabilities of their products in a way that assists the decision making process where it counts, at the point of sale. With a quick scan of their Tag, consumers can save time by learning all they need to know about a product at the store and thus make better, more informed decisions about their purchase of a Xerox printer.
This effort to better inform Xerox customers was launched worldwide on June 1st this year and it’s really hit the ground running in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia. Xerox is extremely interested in doing PR around this initiative since it has been implemented so successfully.
What are some other ways Tag can be used to better inform purchase decisions? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
