Italy's MediaKi talks about using Microsoft Tag in Turin for tourism.

Turin: home of the famous shroud, the headquarters for Fiat, and the web agency MediaKi, which just sent us this short video about how they're using Tag:

Project Manager Dunja Lavecchia, who works on all of the agency's Tag-related creative concepts and projects, briefly discusses how they're using Tags in campaigns for tourism and public administration clients. (You can read the transcript here.)

Lavecchia describes their first case study, the Colors of Turin: "For this project, we used Tag technology to tag Turin’s sites—main sites and landmarks—so that visitors, citizens, and tourists can access further information about the monument tagged in front of [them]. The tiles can be put on the ground, for example," Lavecchia says. "We put this colored symbol in front of Turin’s main landmarks and sites to let people enjoy a new way of sightseeing. In fact, simply by scanning the Tags with your smartphone, you get a chance to [access] further information and interactive content such as photos, videos, and web pages."

The Colors of Turin gave citydwellers and visitors alike an interactive new way to get to know the city. Would you scan a Tag while sightseeing? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
