How Microsoft Tag was used in a CD release

If you need to get pumped up and rock out, you might want to check out Blyndfold, a progressive metal band from Germany. The band just released a new album called “Collide-o-scope,” and if you open the CD case, you might find something that catches your eye.

Previously I posted on Tag Guerrilla Marketing for Bands, but today I’d like to introduce you to another way bands can use Microsoft Tag to connect with their fans. Blyndfold uses Tag to link their new album to current content; new videos, links to their next concert, and updates on their website. The band uses the Microsoft Tag Manager to easily change the content behind their existing Tags to deliver this experience. Currently, the Microsoft Tag inside the CD case links to a video of the band shredding their hearts out during a live concert.

It’s easy to create a Microsoft Tag, and I encourage you to check out the Tag Manager to rotate content on existing Tags. By doing this, you can create a unique experience for your fans or customers on an ongoing basis. If you need help testing out Tag, reach out to us on Facebook and Twitter any time.
