Woman’s Day magazine is promoting their September issue as an Interactive Issue, and they are not joking. The magazine is using Microsoft Tag in a variety of ways— featuring Tags throughout the magazine and topping it off with a plethora of sweepstakes with their advertisers.
The Interactive Issue promotion is called, “Make it a September to Remember,” and with all the bells and whistles they are using, how could you forget? First, Women’s Day created a beautiful custom Tag with an autumn-colored leaf to go with the theme. It is also featuring 20 Tags in different editorial and advertising pages throughout the magazine. Advertisers including United Healthcare, Coldwater Creek, La-Z-Boy, Oxi-Clean and Newman’s Own are part of the September to Remember event, and Tag scanners can enter to win items such as gift cards, jewelry, skincare products, pizza party packs and all sorts of goodie bags. On the editorial pages, readers can scan and enter to win prizes such as a laptop, handbag and perfume.
But wait! There’s more! Tag scanners are entered to win $1,000 simply by scanning any three Tags in the magazine, increasing the pot of potential winnings for readers. The Tags also increases the engagement with the readers, the magazine and advertisers, as each time someone enters to win one of the many prizes, they can also choose to receive more information from the advertiser and receive future Woman’s Day news and promotions.
