Seattle Art Museum uses Microsoft Tag to engage visitors.

Seattle Art Museum Tags for Picasso Exhibit

In anticipation of huge crowds visiting its recent Picasso exhibit, the Seattle Art Museum (SAM) incorporated Microsoft Tag into the exhibit signage. When visitors scanned the Tag near a particular piece, they could read more about it on their smartphones. This approach added interactivity to the exhibit and helped visitors learn about the artwork when it was too crowded for them to see the wall labels.

What other ways would you like to see Tag used in museums? What about viewing artist biographies and videos, linking visitors to an online gift shop, or helping you share a new favorite artist with friends? Tell us your ideas in the comments below or on Tag’s Facebook or Twitter pages.
