Nissan has done a spectacular job of incorporating Microsoft Tag into their recent promotion in Runners World Magazine.  The ad is part of a campaign for the “Innovation for Endurance” sweepstakes featuring the endurance runner, Ryan Hall. Participants enter for a chance to win a Nissan LEAF or a number of weekly prizes.

Just take a look at that vivid and eye-catching custom Tag.  Located on the top left of the page (one of the first places readers’ eyes are drawn to), the Tag is displayed almost on a stage of its own.  The bright colors and interesting design as well as the excellent placement on the ad really help to grab readers’ attention.

Once scanned, the Tag links to a Facebook community showcasing Ryan Hall as well as the latest innovations in running, cycling, yoga, and other fitness activities.   With a strong call to action situated close to the Tag, readers can’t help but reach for their smart phones to see where it’ll take them.
