When Microsoft introduced Kinect, the gaming camera for Xbox 360 that lets you interact without a controller, we were excited to hear that some Kinect games would be
integrated with Microsoft Tag.
The first is Kinectimals, a children’s game that lets kids play with virtual pets using the Kinect camera. The game gives children and animal lovers of all ages the chance to build lasting, interactive relationship with pet cubs that learn and grow over time. You can choose from different exotic animals and teach them commands, play with them, and compete in contests.
In addition to the game, you’ll be able to buy plush toys that have a Microsoft Tag attached. When you scan the custom Tag with the Kinect for Xbox 360 sensor, it will unlock the in-game character, so your kids have a virtual version to play with. This week, Burger King kicked off a Kinectimals promotion that offers six different Kinectimal plush pals for free with Kid’s Meals. Each toy has a Tag that unlocks its character in the game.
