Microsoft Tag is being used on a daily basis at HBO’s state-of-the-art cafeteria, tHe BistrO. Tags are incorporated right into the eye-catching menu display. The Tags provide smart promotions and deals to employees already looking for a bite to eat. Deals can include discounts on breakfast items, future menu items, cafeteria announcements, free pastry opportunities, buy-one-get-one-free deals, and more. This is an excellent example of using Tag to not only draw in customers but also to keep them coming back.
A similar mobile marketing campaign has been used by Eurest Dining Services at Microsoft’s own Redmond headquarters. The promotion covers 35 cafés serving over 50,000 people. The results from the Microsoft campaign were so successful that Eurest followed up with Tag marketing across six university campuses. And it seems that HBO has caught on to the trend.
This Tag campaign has shown that the folks at HBO are strong believers in the power of technology. Tag helps them to integrate that appreciation into the everyday work environment.
