Forbes Drives Subscriptions with Tag

How the financial magazine is using Microsoft Tag to connect with readers.

Got your mind on your money (and your money on your mind)? You might run across a Tag the next time you get that "Time to renew your subscription" letter from Forbes.

The company is using Tag in a direct mail campaign to drive subscription extensions. Scanning the Tag on the letter takes money-conscious readers to a video of Steve Forbes as well as a mobile site where they can easily pay for another 13 issues.

We've seen Tags in magazines before, connecting readers with contests, giveaways, and bonus content, but as far as I know this is a new way to engage readers and encourage them to continue their long-term commitment.

Would you renew your magazine subscription on your mobile phone? Let us know in the comments below or on Facebook or Twitter.
