Tags provide mobile coupons for Post-it purchases.

Mobile couponing is a great way to use Microsoft Tag, as 3M recently discovered with its Post-it promotion in OfficeMax stores.

The company placed Tags on Post-it point-of-purchase displays. When a customer scanned the Tag on the display, a coupon for $1 off a Post-it Pop-up Note Dispenser appeared on their smartphone. At checkout, the OfficeMax clerk could scan the coupon on the smartphone screen and the customer received the $1 discount on their purchase. Nifty, huh?
