This week the Tag team focused on providing content that might spur some creative ideas from the community. Now that the seeds are planted, I guess it’s just a matter of time before one of our readers comes up with a revolutionary idea that saves the world right? Tag is already being used to help fight world hunger so I guess we’re on the right track.

Last Week’s Highlights

Top Conversations

This week offered a great opportunity for our team to address some misnomers about our product. Maybe more importantly it allowed us to give some perspective on how 2D barcodes fit into one of the hottest topics in the mobile marketing world: location-based marketing.

Community Showcase

We always have cool things to share from the community. I’m happy to say this week wasn’t any different. Take a look at a few things I thought should be highlighted:

Bret DaCosta, The Evolution of 2D Barcodes

I think this pretty much sums up the 2D barcode space. My only question is this: If a standard Microsoft Tag is the equivalent of early man, would a custom Tag be compared to modern man?

Our community has produced a lot of great ideas and presents some of the recommendations we make to clients or while engaging in other communities online. This kind of feedback is exactly what we need to get the best 2D barcode campaigns in the market possible.

Topic of the Week

Next week we are going to lighten things up with some posts that should give you a laugh and hopefully spark some creativity.  If you have some ideas for fun or creative uses of Tag let us know so we can share them with the group.

Do you have something to share relating to Tag or mobile? Drop in on Facebook and LinkedIn to talk about it. Want to engage with us right away? Find us on Twitter. Maybe we’ll be talking about you next week!
