Microsoft Tag is becoming quite the globe-trotter these days. Tourist boards in British Columbia, Louisiana, and Orlando have all incorporated Tag into their campaigns to help make their marketing material more interactive, more informative, and more appealing.
The Kootenay Rockies region of British Columbia, Canada, has placed Tags in a number of their marketing pieces, including brochures and advertisements. They are also featuring Tag in their advertising plans for their 2012 tour guide.
Louisiana’s official tour guide ad uses custom Tags to put the American Heritage Trail at viewers fingertips. The Tag links to an iPhone app that provides viewers information about the trail such as photos, a guide, stories, and more.
Orlando has used Tag in multiple print ads, brochures and even at trade shows (which is a great idea by the way). The Tags link potential visitors to a clever vacation planning kit.
Through the creation of such interactive marketing material, readers are really drawn in to the experience that is BC, Louisiana, and Orlando; the perfect way to give potential visitors a first hand feeling of what these great destinations are like.
