The ability to change the content behind a Microsoft Tag – without changing the Tag itself – means you never have to worry about a Tag becoming obsolete once you’ve created it. You can extend the life of marketing campaigns and provide regularly updated content to customers without having to reprint your collateral.
For instance, you could have a Tag on the back of a music CD, and each month you update the Tag's content so that it shows a monthly video, a new downloadable song, or a secret web page. Or maybe you have a coffee shop, and place a Tag on disposable cups; you could change the content whenever you like to offer different discounts or specials.
So, how do you change the content behind a Tag?
-
Log into Tag Manager.
- Find the Tag that you want to edit.
- Click on the Edit symbol (pencil) beside the Tag.

Tag Manager will show you the content page for that specific Tag, and you can edit the fields you want to change.
In the example below, we are looking at a URL Tag, and I have the option to change the Tag’s Titles, Notes, Start and end date, and URL.
