Back in the day students were handed mimeographed sheets (that’s right, mimeographed) with a list of what they needed for their classes. Then the computer age was ushered in along with the Internet. Students now just refer to emails from instructors or check the class’ web page to find out what’s required for their various courses.
But Microsoft Tag can make getting assignments, readings and notes even easier and faster. Posting a Tag in the lecture room allows students to scan it before or after class and then have all the materials they need stored in their smartphone… and we know no one goes anywhere without their phone in tow.
Tags can be put on handouts so students can get further information about homework and other assignments. A Tag could even link to a video pertaining to the topic and really make the assignment come to life. Plus, students wouldn’t have to worry about being near a computer or lugging around their laptop.
