Shop ‘til You Drop

Everybody likes a discount. But what if you went beyond the typical coupon scan? What if you used Tag to build a little fun into the usual shopping trip?

Instead of just having a Tag in your store window or circular that resolves to a coupon or discount offer, create an interactive experience. For example, a shopper who is hitting the mall or the streets of their favorite shopping area sees a poster that has not just a Tag, but also a trivia or some other sort of question to answer. When the user scans the Tag, it goes to a mobile site that will verify the answer. If the user answers correctly, she is rewarded by being able to participate in an exclusive pre-sale. Retailers could make the experience even more engaging by putting signs throughout the store with more questions to create a scavenger hunt of sorts for coupons, hidden sale items or an exclusive gift-with-purchase.
