In Amsterdam’s popular shopping district, De 9 Straatjes (The Nine Streets) and PayPal are teaming up with 30 stores to allow users to scan a code in a window and buy items. How does it work? Well, these 30 stores are placing QR Code in their storefront windows where people can walk by and scan them. When a person scans the QR Code they are lead to a mobile optimized shopping experience where they can purchase items in the store through their mobile device. Once the items are selected and paid for they are shipped to the users. No waiting in lines, bags to carry around just a seamless transaction that brings the items that you want right to your door step.
