With the presidential elections getting closer and closer it’s going to be interesting to see how QR Codes are used in political campaigns. The nonprofit Rock The Vote has just released its voter registration campaign and they’re using QR Codes as a way for young voters to register to vote. The QR Codes are a centerpiece of their campaign appearing on T-shirts, posters, and of course all around music festivals which is Rock the Vote’s main engagement area.

When a young potential voter scans the QR Code they’re brought to an optimized mobile landing page. Once on the landing page users can register to vote, watch videos and get exclusive content. If a user does register to vote Rock the Vote will politely remind them to vote on election day. It’s going to be interesting to see the variety of different ways QR Codes will be used leading up to election day.
