Timo a director, designer, researcher or as one could say a jack of all trades, developed an interesting project called Nearness. Timo was focusing on proximity, one of the essential properties of Near Field Communication (NFC). Instead of where most devices require touch interaction that so many of us are accustomed to, NFC requires only proximity. To demonstrate this Timo created a Goldberg machine where touch was limited to couple of instances.
