With Thanksgiving just a couple of days away it’s time to get ready for the holidays. And what better way to stay engaged and organized than with some cool apps for your trusty smartphone? Tag takes a look at a few holiday apps that will keep you in the mobile spirit.

Black Friday App

You can’t get through Black Friday without a plan and the Black Friday app lets you do just that by making it easy to get great deals on products. The app lets users browse “leaked” ads from more than 60 major retailers. It also keeps you up-to-date on deals that are as good as or even better than the best deals on Black Friday.

The Coupons App

This is an app that keeps on giving all year round. The Coupons App showcases coupon savings at your favorite stores, restaurants and gas stations… making sure your tank is filled cheaply for that trip over the river and through the woods to grandmother’s house.

Gift Plan App

No more scribbling and crossing off on a piece of paper you stuff in your pocket. Now keep track of presents and special occasions on your mobile phone. The app stores sizes and gift ideas, and lets you log what presents you have bought or need to buy. It’s another one that’s great all year since it stores birthdays too.

Talking Santa App

This app is just pure fun. The Talking Santa app lets you engage with Santa on your smartphone. Feed Santa milk and cookies or pelt him with a snowball (it’s your decision whether you want to be naughty or nice). You can also take his picture and send a virtual holiday greeting, no stamp required.

Mobile Menorah App

Say you’re traveling during Hannukkah or you’re out of matches, well, the Mobile Menorah app ensures that you can enjoy the Festival of Lights no matter where you are. Use your finger as a virtual match to light the first candle (called a Shamash) and then drag it to light the others. The candles actually burn down over the course of the evening. Additionally, a portion of the sales of the app goes to plant a tree in Israel.

A Charlie Brown Christmas App

Full disclosure: I love "A Charlie Brown Christmas," so much so that I can recite all the dialogue (which is why no one will watch it with me anymore); so when I heard about the Charlie Brown Christmas iPad app, I did a Snoopy dance of joy. Check out the video below to see all the fun I… er, I mean the kids can have with this interactive digital book.
