Cardboard boxes and packing material create untold tons of waste each year, but there have been recent innovations to help combat this excess waste. For this week’s Tag Mockup: green packaging, we’re combining Life Box seed-sprouting cardboard packaging with Microsoft Tag technology.
Instead of wasting yet more paper talking about their product and explaining how to recycle the packaging by “growing” it, a company could simply place a Tag on the box. Consumers scan the Tag and have all the vital information – instructions, promotions, and product details – available digitally on their smartphones.
Once they’ve captured the information on their phones, users can place the cardboard box in a planter or their garden and the embedded seeds will begin to grow.
