Tag at Conferences

June is apparently the hot month for big marketing conferences. If you're headed to New York City to rub elbows (and brains) with other marketers, you just might see Tags – and the people who work on them. Need some incentive? If you find Tag Marketing Director (and two-time Webby award winner) Karen Howe at any of the events and mention reading about it in the Tag blog, she'll take you out for a cup of coffee. It's Tag's version of Where's Waldo! (No word on if she'll be wearing a striped shirt.)

Mobile Marketers Association (MMA) Forum – June 15-17

Mobile marketing professionals from agencies, brands, and carriers will meet for panels and presentations on the latest industry developments. "We’ll have a Tag on the conference bag that will allow mobile marketers to sign up for our first Tag webinar for the MMA, scheduled for July 14," says Howe. Along with CNN, NBC Universal, ESPN Digital, the Washington Post, and others, Tag is a member of the new MMA Publishing Committee and will be helping other committee members learn how to use Tag. If you can't make it, check the Tag site after the conference for the webinar materials.

Direct Marketing Association (DMA)'s All for One summit – June 20-21

Tag will be the only 2D barcode represented at this integrated marketing summit drawing 3,000 direct marketers. "We’ve got a great panel on Day 1," says Howe, so don't miss it. In the panel, Condé Nast, Nellymoser, and Tag will share how to successfully use mobile tagging in your direct marketing strategies.

MPA Digital: Technology (Magazine Publishers Association's digital tech conference) – June 23

Howe will moderate a panel is titled "Tag! Magazines are it (when it comes to mobile action codes)" featuring success stories from big-name magazines using Tag. Speakers from Golf Digest, Health, Allure, and Martha Stewart Weddings will share best practices and their findings from using Tag to engage readers through both editorial and advertising content. Nellymoser will be part of a panel on 2D barcodes too.

Will you be attending any of the conferences? Go learn more about Tag (and say hi to Karen)! Then come back and tell us what you think in the comments below or on Tag’s Facebook or Twitter pages.
